A member of the Republican Party, Cawthorn is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district after winning the 2020 election.[1] The district includes most of Western North Carolina. He is the youngest member of Congress since Jed Johnson Jr. and the first born in the 1990s.[2]
